Clarity are recruiting for registered general nurses and registered midwives to work as agency school vaccination nurses for HSE Wicklow.

The nurse will work as part of the community PHN team that is based in Wicklow. The role will require someone 3 days per week with their own transport and must be flexible. The post covers all schools in County Wicklow.

Nurses will be given support and training specific to the school immunisation programme, so experience of administering school immunisations is not necessary. Vaccination experience in general though is preferable. 

Working hours are three days per week usually from 9am to 2pm.
During the school term only (not required during the midterm breaks or Christmas holidays/Easter holidays etc)

The Ideal Candidate must be/have: 

• Be active on the live NMBI register 
• Have access to own transport or be able to use public transport to get to the schools
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills  
• Ability to work on your own initiative  
• Good time management 
• Passion for the delivery of excellent customer service 

• Vaccination experience
• Experience with anaphylactic shock
