Supervising Pharmacist - Tullamore, Co. Offaly

Clarity is recruiting a Supervising Pharmacist for a pharmacy in Tullamore, Co. Offaly.

What you need to know:
This is a permanent, full-time position with a negotiable salary depending on experience. Saturdays are shared on a rolling basis across the team, with each pharmacist covering roughly one Saturday a month, and two Saturdays during the third month of the rotation. No Sundays, late nights and Bank Holidays are required. MPS is the dispensing system used.

Key Responsibilities:

• Holding professional and legal responsibility for the safe and effective operation of the pharmacy
• Overseeing and supporting the pharmacy team, including support pharmacists and dispensing staff
• Ensuring full compliance with PSI regulations, the Pharmacy Act 2007, and all relevant legislation
• Managing dispensing, clinical checks, and patient counselling for prescription and OTC medicines
• Leading on pharmacy services (e.g. vaccinations, blood pressure/glucose monitoring, minor ailment schemes)
• Overseeing stock control, pharmacy administration, and staff scheduling
• Acting as the main point of contact for regulatory inspections and quality assurance

Requirements:

• Registered with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland (PSI)
• Proven experience in a community pharmacy setting, ideally in a supervisory or management capacity
• Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills
• Up-to-date knowledge of Irish pharmacy regulations and expanded community pharmacy services
• Flexibility to participate in the Saturday rota
