Clarity & I are recruiting a Senior Clinical Informatics Pharmacist - Managing the Smart pumps within the dispensary and on the wards in one of Dublin's most prominent Hospitals. 
  • 3 years prior Hospital is a must

What you need to know:
This is a permanent Full-time role (35hrs),  Monday-Friday with flexible start times. Full training is provided.
The salary follows the HSE payscale (Enquire for explanation). 
The purpose of this post is to support the Chief Pharmacy Information Officer and CHI's Informatics team in the management of medication databases and smart pump drug libraries.

What you'll be doing:
  • Build and maintain medication databases to support paediatric and neonatal smart pump drug libraries and other health information systems.
  • Utilise specialist clinical expertise to lead on the planning design and build of medication database and drug library development and validation.
  • Provide project management support to CHI’s smart-pump team and the overall informatics programme.
  • Contribute to the development and realisation of the overall digital strategy for the new children’s hospital including closed-loop medication administration processes and integration of smart-infusion pumps with electronic health record (EHR).
  • Establish and maintain close working relationships and strong clinical engagement with relevant healthcare professionals and the EHR team (Project Ogham)
  • Participate in cross-professional working groups to advise on medication workflows for all current and future health information systems.
  • Participate in the analysis, design and implementation of interfaces between the infusion pumps and the EHR.
  • Participate in proactive review of international medication safety experience to ensure safety of the configuration, validation, training and implementation of medication–related technologies.

What we require:
  • At least 3 years post-registration experience within a Hospital setting (Non-Negotiable),
  • Registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland is a must,
  • knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability and management ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
The salary & contract for this roles follows the HSE guidance's.
