Clarity is recruiting for a Pharmacist Manager for a pharmacy in Leek

What you need to know:
This is a permanent full time role. This position is 39.5 to 47 hours per week,

Delivers on average 3.5k items per month. 

The pharmacy has a varied skill base which is made up of four NVQ2 qualified pharmacy assistants, with a range of contract sizes from 6.5 hours to 30 hours per week. The team within this branch are highly motivated individuals with a great work ethic, who are keen on delivering company initiatives and growing the branch through realising opportunity within the local market.

The pharmacy delivers a wide range of NHS and private services.  Including, but not limited to, NMS, Advanced Hypertension, EHC, Minor Ailments, CPCS, GPCPCS, Flu, Pneumonia and Chicken Pox vaccines. There are currently no substance misuse patients and no Care Homes serviced from this pharmacy. 

The branch is open Monday to Friday 10am-6pm and Saturdays 10am-5pm and the client are open to discussing contractual hours ranging from 39 hours – 47 hours p/w


What you'll be doing:
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy, including staffing, scheduling, and inventory management.
  • Ensure that all pharmacy staff are trained and qualified to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including those governing the dispensing of medications.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the safety and security of the pharmacy.
  • Manage the pharmacy budget and ensure that resources are used efficiently.
  • Work with other healthcare providers to ensure that patients receive the medications they need.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families.
  • Dispense medications as prescribed by doctors and other healthcare professionals.
  • Review prescriptions to ensure accuracy and to evaluate their suitability for the patient.
  • Provide advice to patients on the use of medicines, including dosage, side effects, and interactions with other medications.
  • Counsel patients on the management of chronic diseases.
  • Conduct medication reviews to ensure that patients are taking their medications as prescribed.
  • Order and stock medications and medical supplies.
  • Maintain a safe and secure pharmacy environment.
  • Stay up-to-date on new drugs and treatments.
